Situation
The provincial road 83 had been affected by frequent rockfalls since it was built. Taking into account the magnificent landscape of the region, the Municipality of Buggerru decided to take action against the risk of rockfall impacts. It chose a solution with a low environmental impact.
Description
The project was divided into two parts:
- Stabilization of the rock walls with QUAROX® mesh
- Rockfall protection barrier GBE-2000A , capable of dissipating energy of 2000 kJ, interception screen with SPIDER S4-130 mesh and TECCO® G80/4 mesh as well as a fast and safe mounting system
These barriers are certified according to the new EAD 340059000106 and therefore equipped with ETA and its CE mark.
