Situation
Statkraft Energi AS skal erstatte sikkerhetsgjerde rundt samlekanal sør for Tunsbergdalsdammen i Luster.
During wintertime, the slopes around Tunsbergdalsdammen Water Power Plant are very popular for cross-country skiing. To avoid injuries the Statkraft Energi AS had installed a simple fence around the water outlet channel. With a height of about a meter, the protection was not sufficient.
South of the Tunsbergdalsdammen in Luster the Statkraft Energi AS replaced the security fence around the joint channel. The new fence was designed to prevent people and skiers from falling into the water.
Description
For the fence, it was required not only to prevent people from falling into the channel but also to withstand snow loads of 2 meters.
