At the DroneHub in Empa’s NEST, drones and robots of the next generation are developed and tested. The research facility was built in collaboration with Imperial College London and is dedicated to developing autonomous robots that can function in natural and man-made environments. To ensure the drones could not leave the test site, the affected part of the building was fenced with Geobrugg mesh (G45/2 STAINLESS)—an «aviary» for drones.
