In 2008 thawing season, the drainage system of Municipal road 415 was blocked up, and therefore rock fragments were piled on the road because of the debris flow triggered by heavy rain.
The adequate protection system which provides porosity and permeability for dewatering and enables to filter out sediment was needed.
Opis zastosowanego rozwiazania
Geobrugg debris flow barrier VX140-H4 was installed June 2008.
Debris flow event occurred July 2008 one month later after installation. 200m2 of boulders, rock fragments were retained.
The barrier has been reinstalled after removal of sediments. As any deformation had not been found on every part of the barrier system, there was no need for replacement.
